Abstract: The gender pay gap is a significant obstacle to achieving gender equality and sustainable development around the world. The purpose of this research is to explore the gender pay gap and its impact on gender equality and sustainable development. By examining the causes and consequences of the pay gap, the study aims to raise awareness of this issue and its effects on women's empowerment and economic growth. This research will involve the analysis of specialized literature, the findings will be used to develop a framework of best practices to overcome the challenges faced by women. The research seeks to provide recommendations that can support efforts to bridge the gender pay gap. This paper represents a comprehensive synthesis of existing literature examining the gender pay gap. By analyzing areas of research that have been more fully explored and those that require further investigation, this study suggests avenues for future research.
