Abstract:
Young people aged between 15 and 29, who are not in education or employment, known as NEETs, are a concern within the framework of European Union policies. To support them, projects are being implemented to develop skills in various fields and to provide financial support to those who want to set up businesses. The objective of the research we carried out was to identify how NEETs relate to the issue of financing an entrepreneurial endeavor. For this purpose, we applied a questionnaire to a group of NEETs from the Constanta region, who expressed interest in starting a business. After processing the obtained data, we concluded that there is an inclination of these young people for non-reimbursable financing of their entrepreneurial initiatives, associated with an estimation of the risks related to each source, but also that there are several factors that influence the preferences for certain sources of funding.
