Abstract: This article describes the role of economics at the Greater Houston Partnership, a member-funded development organization serving the 9-county Houston Metropolitan Statistical Area. The partnership’s history, the organization’s mission, the role that research economic data plays in the relocation process, and reasons why corporations relocate are discussed in the article.
