Abstract:
Abstract Air shopping volumes have been growing at a rapid rate over the past decade. The four components of air shopping are schedule generation, itinerary selection, booking class availability and itinerary pricing. Booking class availability is the most volatile and this paper discusses the impact of revenue management, inventory control and booking class availability on air shopping.
