Abstract:
Abstract Though the sports markets have been growing rapidly, the growth rate of ticket revenues has trailed other revenue streams. With the push for use of analytics in recent years, sports organizations have opportunities to develop insights from data and improve overall revenues. In this paper, we illustrate sports ticket market dynamics, discuss the state-of-the-art technologies and data-related issues, present new pricing strategies, and suggest topics for future research.
