Abstract: The crude oil prices and fluctuations during the oil crisis lead to a new evaluation of the energy sources. If taking into account the financial disasters due to the oil crisis, with acute effects in various field of the social life, besides accepting the idea of energy raw materials diversification, it is necessary to perform an objective evaluation of the existent reserves, in the context of the nowadays economic necessities
