Abstract:
Within the other policies of the EU, social policy is to be found among those which are not strongly integrated, the member states still having the last word regarding its co-ordination. Nevertheless, there are voices that support the foundation of a common social policy at the European level, this fact being enforced by the similarities of the schemes of social protection of the member states. A conclusive example is the analysis of the incomes and expenditures for social protection of each member state.
