Acta Informatica Pragensia, 2015, vol. 2015, issue 2, 122-139

Abstract: The focus of the paper is to present an evaluation of a proposed decision-making model concept. The concept takes into account the quality of a currently used information system's subsystem (the Business Intelligence subsystem in our case), as it is perceived by its current users. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) multi-criteria decision making method is used to support the concept with a hierarchical decision criteria structuring framework. A selected part of the DeLone and McLean's (D&M) information system success assessment model is used for the determination of appropriate criteria (success factors). The D&M model is composed of information system quality assessment dimensions. These dimensions represent a solid base for surveying information system's users according to their perception of key information system performance aspects. The presented model helps to combine opinions of the management and users successfully when carrying out important information system related decision. The results also illustrate the possibility of using the D&M model in a novel application together with the AHP method.
