Abstract: J. K. Galbraith was a Canadian-American journalist, diplomat, activist, and economist who popularised economics and classified the institutional tradition of economic thought known as neo-institutionalism. Galbraith was famous for his critiques of standard economic schemes and was also a bestselling author. In his time, he was regarded as one of the most famous American public intellectuals.
