Transition of the croatian economy - some early experiences

Abstract: The Republic of Croatia followed the present way of transition under conditions entirely different to those of other Central and Eastern European countries in transition. The four-year war in Croatia significantly influenced the economic achievements of the recent past. This paper considers the particularities of transition in the Croatian economy and certain actual issues are identified which still remain open. Possible solutions to these problems are also mentioned.
