Abstract: The article introduces the special issue on Paolo Sylos Labini's contributions published in "Astrolabio", the Italian review founded and edited by Ferruccio Parri in 1963. The editor, guest editor of the current issue, explains the rationale of his selection of articles and discusses the different papers both in a historial perspective and in comparison to the contemporary Italian context.
