Note a margine di un saggio di Montanaro e Tonveronachi

Moneta e Credito, 2018, vol. 71, issue 282, 139-144
Abstract:
The author comments on Montanaro and Tonveronachi (2017) by focusing on the concept of public interest in the procedures of bank resolution. Public interest must be considered in relation to the activities that each bank performs, as well as the impact that a liquidation of a bank would have on the area in which the bank operates. From the point of view of the possibility to replace a specific bank’s role and activities in a certain area, a new banking function emerges, that of intermediation in payments and settlement, which is probably even more important than lending and the collection of savings.
