L'approccio classico-keynesiano e la teoria del ruolo sociale del consumo (The classical-Keynesian approach and the Theory of the Social Role of Consumption)

Abstract: L'obiettivo di questo lavoro e' di svolgere una sintesi della letteratura riguardo al ruolo della spesa aggregata per consumi nel lungo periodo, all'interno di un approccio teorico che ha le sue radici nell'economia politica classica e nella teoria keynesiana. In parallelo il lavoro discute, alla luce della storia del pensiero economico, la teoria del ruolo sociale del consumo come spiegazione del livello e della composizione della spesa per consumi. The aim of this paper is to carry out a review of the literature regarding the role of aggregate consumption expenditure in the long run, within a theoretical approach that has its roots in classical political economy and Keynesian theory. In addition, the paper discusses, in the light of the history of economic thought, the theory of the social role of consumption as an explanation of the level and composition of consumption expenditure.
