Abstract: This paper will discuss the strategies employed by the Jordanian media independence site 7iber to counter misinformation via multimedia storytelling. The study took a qualitative case study design of exploration that involved content analysis of 16 news stories (articles) published between 2013 and 2025 and objective analysis of five in-depth interviews with key founding members. The results indicate that 7iber takes a multi-layered approach that is not restricted to fact-checking. They came up with five overarching strategies- deconstructing and contextualizing misinformation, framing human-centered narratives, strategic integration of multimedia, commitment to in-depth investigative journalism, and the promotion of implicit media literacy. Collectively, these measures form a concept of resilience-based journalism, a framework that facilitates resilience of society against misinformation. The research discovered that 7iber considers its audience as active contributors of meaning making. She also pointed out the need for independent media to cooperate to make algorithms more reliable in times of crisis.
