Abstract:
Within the Information Society-Knowledge Society Priority Project, initiated by the Romanian Academy for the purpose of stimulating anticipatory reflection and providing landmarks for the National Strategy for the Information Society, a prospective study on the general topic of developing the IS-KS model in Romania was prepared between April and July 2001. The survey, focused on the definition of IS-KS concept, the assessment of current situation, the identification of immediate actions to be taken and the estimation of the cost of non-action or delay. The conclusions of that report are presented here.
