REVISTA DE MANAGEMENT COMPARAT INTERNATIONAL/REVIEW OF INTERNATIONAL COMPARATIVE MANAGEMENT, 2016, vol. 17, issue 1, 54-60

Abstract: Companies face an increasing number of challenges, driven by market pressures, changes in the nature of labour or customers’ needs. In this context, one of the solutions to address these challenges is to develop and implement knowledge based strategies. To be successful, such approaches must identify critical needs and problems of the company and provide a framework for solving them. For decision makers, one question, once the decision to use such a strategy is taken, is what type of approach should be followed. This article addresses the topic of knowledge based strategies approaches, concerning the prescriptive and emergent ones, in the context of their increasing importance in the strategic development of companies.
