Abstract: This paper looks at the work experience of engineers in Singapore. In particular the study focuses on stress in the workplace with the view to identifying the major stress factors and to explaining them with reference to organizational dynamics and developments at the global level. Supporting data for the study were drawn from in-depth interviews with 30 engineers and a general survey of 234 engineers from the electronics industry.
