Abstract: The three primary sources of journal articles and the three primary proceedings of conferences in the field of entrepreneurship and small business are reviewed for the year 1986 to evaluate the degree to which they contained information relevant to the issues and recommendations of the 1986 White House Conference on Small Business. Suggestions for future research direction are made based upon this analysis.
