Abstract:
This article discusses the hardware and software components of three workstations suitablefor evaluation researchers, one for those on a limited budget, one for professional researchers, and one for a research team or department. The systems range in cost from just under $3,000 to over $30 , 000 , and include the features most frequently used by professionals. These example systems and the discussion of the components should serve to illustrate the wide variety of possibilities open to researchers interested in acquiring microcomputer workstations.
