Abstract:
A recent Delphi study on recreational boating safety priorities is used as an illustrative example to further explore the utility of applying the modified scree test to Delphi data. After a brief overview of the Delphi method, the scree test's applicability is discussed in light of the work by Keith Zoski and StephenJurs, and the caveatspresented byJamesAltschuld and Phyllis Thomas. The procedures used in this present scree test then are described. The potential utility of the scree test, and Delphi studies in general, to evaluation research are noted.
