Abstract:
Most people do not use neighborhood parks. The causes and implications of nonuse are summarized. Ways to measure nonuse and a new approach to recreation planning based on user objectives are outlined. Design and management solutions are described to reduce levels of nonuse and make neighborhood parks more effective urban recreation places .
