A Critique ofMilkman’s (1978)“A Simple Exposition of Jensen’s Errorâ€

Joseph L. Wolff

Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics, 1979, vol. 4, issue 3, 197-205

Abstract: Milkman (1978) accuses Arthur Jensen of misapplying heritability data in speculating on the causes of racial differences in intelligence test scores. He then offers a method for illuminating Jensen’s alleged “error†. It is contended in this article that Milkman (1978) has misconstrued Jensen’s (1973) argument and that, as a consequence, his method is without point.
