Comment: The Economics of Professional Sports Leagues

Duane Rockerbie

Journal of Sports Economics, 2005, vol. 6, issue 1, 107-113

Abstract: The author discusses the methodological problems of the Bougheas and Downward model of the European transfer market, then shows that their model is a description of the dynamics of the Quirk and Fort model. The two models are consistent with one another despite the claim of Bougheas and Downward.
