Abstract:

The study of financial reporting of «Dniprounion» as a public interest subject, and the most active figure of the cooperative movement in the period of the Ukrainian People’s Republic contributes to the information, which lacks in economic literature. The author examines the content and the structure of «Dniprounion» book of original entry, analyzes its separate accounts from June 1 1917 to January 1 1918. Every type of account (of eight ones) used at that time are grouped according to the content criterion of classification, and the existence of turnovers and remainders on them reveals «Dniprounion» role as a public interest subject with which about a half of state population collaborated. The results of the analysis show the dynamic development and the difficulties of consumer cooperation of that time on the example of «Dniprounion» report data. The carried-out research extends with historical facts little-known methods of accounting and reporting in the period of the UPR and outlines the economic problems of Ukraine at that time generally. Ukrainian historical heritage of accounting and analytical information will contribute to the deepening of its study and can be used for solving the current problems in economy reformation.

Висвітлення фінансової звітності «Дніпросоюзу», як суб’єкту суспільного інтересу, також найбільш активного діяча кооперативного руху в період Української Народної Республіки, заповнює джерельну нішу про яку в сучасній економічній літературі бракує інформації. Зокрема, досліджено зміст і структуру Головної книги «Дніпросоюзу», проведено аналіз її окремих рахунків за період від 1 червня 1917 р. по 1 січня 1918 р. Кожен із восьми класів використовуваних на той час рахунків згруповано за змістовним критерієм класифікації, а наявність оборотів і залишків на них розкриває роль «Дніпросоюзу», як суб’єкту суспільного інтересу з яким співпрацювало близько половини населення держави. Результати аналізу висвітлюють динамічний розвиток і тогочасні труднощі споживчої кооперації на прикладі звітних даних «Дніпросоюзу». Проведене дослідження розширює історичними фактами мало відому методику обліку і звітності в період УНР та віддзеркалюють економічні проблеми тогочасної України загалом. Українська історична спадщина обліково-аналітичної інформації сприятиме поглибленню її досліджень і може буде використана у розв’язанні сьогоднішніх проблем реформування економіки.
