Abstract: In article research of the theory of the human capital, the understanding of a category «the human capital » is produced, the author's treatment of this concept is offered, prominent features of the human capital which have allowed to prove preconditions of creation of the mechanism of practical application of the theory of the human capital on a railway transportation are certain.
