Abstract: The article considers the place and role of warehouses in modern logistics systems. The ways of the optimal organization of the warehouse complexes, namely picking in order to optimize costs logistics system. Determined that the warehouse should organize a professional, as a leader will be able to quickly eliminate defects and "tighten" the weaknesses in the operation of storage facilities. Business enterprise is impossible to imagine without storage function, namely, without storage, which provides a place in any logistics system. Modern warehouse complex with advanced technology, allows us to solve many problems associated with the turnover of inventory. Properly organized warehouse to optimize the cost logistics systems and processes associated with the operation of warehouses, ultimately is a significant component of the cost. Warehouse is not only a function of storage, but also servicing customers of storage services: approximation of stocks to consumption, the formation of the market range, the assembly of mixed cargo shipments and so on. Thus, the warehouse the inherent link in the logistics system, which allows you to emphasize the strategic benefits: economic and service. Thus, the main task is to optimize warehouse logistics business processes of acceptance, processing, storage and shipment of goods in warehouses. Warehouse logistics determines the rules of the organization of storage facilities, procedures, work with the product and the corresponding processes for managing resources (human, technical, informational).
