Abstract:
The paper defines the concepts of information safety and the factors determining the information safety in the globalised, open, market-driven economy and information society which use modern ICT. The article also highlights the decisive impact of the model of political and economic system on the scope and the methods of providing information safety in the society and in the national economy, as well as the role of international organisations in creating and maintaining social information order on the global, national and local levels. General information safety of the society and the economy created and protected by governments is the prerequisite to safety and security in all other domains of political, social and economic life.
