Abstract:
Due to the process of globalisation, traditional fields of competition have lost their value. Looking for a new source of market advantage, companies start to tap into their knowledge pools: an ocean of data hidden in company’s procedures, processes, employees. A specialised computer software can work as a knowledge tank and as a motivational factor for creating new knowledge, influencing and enhancing managers’ decisions, relationships with clients, financial payoffs. BIKS system, produced by the Warsaw-based company BSSG, is a great example of translating this theoretical concept into a successful business tool.
