Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to compare the relative demand for electronic public services for citizens in selected EU countries. The level of usage of e-services in dealing with public administration is analysed and the ways of access to e-services portals of the central administration, e-services related to e-tax statements, and selected medical services are described. For the purpose of comparison, two countries from the group of states that joined the EU in two subsequent enlargements – Poland and Bulgaria – and two of the founding member states – France and the UK – were selected.
