Abstract: This paper presents research on the conformity of web portals, operated by local governments, with the law. Websites containing public information were tested as to their content. Also examined was whether the web sites had implemented Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. A technical evaluation by parsing HTML syntax was also done.
