Abstract:
The paper discusses changes in global macro and micro-economic conditions which take place in the external environment of the enterprise and lead to shifts in the management decision-making process. The concept of transaction costs, understood as costs incurred before a management decision is made, and those borne to follow up its implementation, is useful in explaining the evolutions of the process. Factors which reduce or increase transaction costs are reflected in ICT tools. These changes shed some light on the increase/decrease patterns of such costs which emerge along with the shifts in the approaches to transparency and trust of corporate stakeholders.
