Abstract:
A heated public discussion in Poland has arisen around recurring problems with IT systems used in general elections. Problems of the use of information technology in the election information systems have also occurred in many other countries. The article presents an analysis of the complexity of such systems and a short review of failures. The author has identified the most vulnerable functional areas of the systems and has qualified the failures taking place in Poland to the proposed framework.
