Abstract:
The article discusses the conditions of development of knowledge management in health care with a particular emphasis on the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The individual parts of the article refer to duties of medical personnel in the field of current medical knowledge and professional development, changes in the formal and legal regulations, examples of ICT solutions supporting knowledge management in health care, and some problems and difficulties which may limit the development of this area. The article is closed with a summary and a brief reflection on the potential directions for further research.
