Abstract:
The subject of the article is an attempt to outline the phenomenon of convergence and divergence processes of regions. We describe selected factors that correlate with these processes. We assume that these are complementary, parallel, but occurring in different aspects of economic growth. The sum of these phenomena is the concentration of economic potential. The paper will present selected endogenous factors that are particularly important for the development potential of the regions and the changes that occur within them. There is also a quantitative look at this issue.
