Abstract: In the article there is presented Information and Communication Technology used in Crisis Management Centers, which can facilitate the exchange of information for decision making. The authors describe the impact of networks and information systems on the efficiency, security and continuity of the information flow for the purpose of developing and making decisions in emergency situations. The paper has also indicated the direction of the modernization of communication and particular IT tools have also been proposed, which can contribute to improving the reliability of the exchange of information between elements responsible for national security.
