Abstract: The article uses factual information to demonstrate that the students perceive motivation as a factor likely to facilitate their start into professional careers and making them successful. The article is structured as follows. The presentation of the research methodology and assumptions is followed by a discussion of the theoretical aspects of motivation and motivating. In the next section, factors causing young people to launch professional careers and determining their subsequent successes in the labour market are analysed based on factual information. The article ends with a summation of the discussion and major conclusions.
