Abstract:
The scientific steps taken by the authors emphasize the importance of higher education financing by the diversification of financing sources and their correlation with the social dimension. Besides the analysis of the social dimension concept, the research also approaches its application by opening the opportunities offer for more members of society to be involved in the higher education system. Furthermore the authors of the research present some financing models, pointing out the performance based models for encouraging the objectives of the social dimension. In this context a diversification of the financing mechanisms for higher education is clearly necessary considering access increase and completion for this type of education corroborated with the social dimension.
