Abstract: Abstract This paper discusses how researchers can improve the quality of their work, clarify the theoretical contributions of their work, and reduce the probability of having their journal submissions rejected. The main emphasis in this paper is on improving the quality of the theory construction (the theoretical contribution) of studies and the measurement of focal constructs.
