Abstract:
Abstract This paper presents a generalized chi square method for the estimation of weights in the analytic hierarchy process and studies its desirable properties such as invariance under transpose, harmony, and rank preservation. A convergent iterative algorithm is given and its practicality is shown by a numerical example.
