Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, we devise a computational method for simulating optimal elastic materials made of two phases that maximize torsional stiffness under local stress constraints. Our method relies on a theoretical relaxation result and it is capable to find optimal layouts involving microstructure among the constituents.
