Abstract: Abstract In this paper, an intersection theorem for a pair of set-valued maps under relaxed closedness and coercivity conditions is investigated. This theorem leads to minimax inequality and variational relation results, enabling us to solve such problems even when the usual closedness and compactness conditions are not satisfied.
