Abstract:
Abstract The article analyzes the content of economic sanctions of Western countries against Russia (from 2014 to August 2018). It shows the evolution of the motivation and perception of sanctions by the main countries involved. Negative consequences for the countries not participating in the sanctions confrontation as well as for the world economy as a whole are considered. An increasing contradiction between the goal setting of the US and EU sanctions is shown.
