Abstract:
Abstract— The article describes the transformation processes in the economy of Kazakhstan and the policy of new industrialization. The key factors impeding the growth of competitiveness of the economy in the medium term are identified. It is concluded that structural transformation of the country’s poorly diversified economy should be based on the accelerated development of the manufacturing industry, the increase in noncommodity exports and the attraction of foreign direct investment in noncommodity sectors.
