Abstract:
Abstract This paper analyzes social dimensions of demographic policy, which include the size, composition, and changes in indicators of natural population development. Against increasing life expectancy, comparative monitoring of the demographic indicators of the Russian Federation, the Volga Federal District, and the Republic of Mari El revealed negative trends in fertility, mortality, and natural population decline. To clarify the measures of demographic policy, the authors carried out a sociological survey of the youth of Yoshkar-Ola, who answered questions about the causes and factors affecting the dynamics of the demographic situation.
