Abstract:
Abstract— The dynamics and regional distribution of the poverty headcount ratio are analyzed. The specifics of determining the poverty line based on the methodology applied before 2021, as well as the issues of transition to assessing the minimum subsistence level based on the median income, are considered. The features of poverty associated with the age structure of the population, employment in the economy, and place of residence are determined in the context of decile groups of regions formed depending on the per capita household income. The household income elasticity to the government antipoverty measures is estimated.
