Abstract:
Abstract— The article proposes an approach to analyzing the environmental component of sustainable development of metallurgical enterprises based on the decoupling effect, which implies integrated assessment of environmental security and economic sustainability. The potential of using the decoupling effect in combination with trend analysis of environmental indicators and performance results as an indicator of transition from technogenic to sustainable development is investigated. Recommendations based on interpretation of trends of key factors that affect environmental security and sustainable development are developed for potential use as reference for decision-making on responsible investment.
