Abstract:
Abstract High-tech and knowledge-intensive companies, the prominent representatives of which are IT companies, play a special role in enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of the economy. This article analyzes the state of IT sector development in the region based on the results of a survey conducted by the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of Novosibirsk oblast. In the course of the analysis, IT companies of Novosibirsk oblast were subdivided into two groups taking into account the revealed relationship between the types of companies’ specialization and their use of state support measures, membership in associations, and accreditation. The differences between the selected groups are significant; it has been proven that the economic behavior of companies from the two groups differs, indicating the need for a diversified approach to organizing their support.
