Abstract:
Abstract The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the dynamics of global value chain (GVC) parameters and the economic dynamics of Russia for 1995–2020. The analysis is based on the preliminary classification of GVC parameters proposed by the authors and the selection of the most suitable ones for the specified purposes. To assess the integration of the Russian Federation into ascending GVCs, the share of foreign value added in the composition of domestic final demand was used. The structural shifts in the composition of foreign added value initiated by final consumption and accumulation in the Russian Federation are investigated. Structural shifts have been identified in the participation of different countries in ensuring the domestic final demand of the Russian Federation. Changes in the shares of industries of other countries in the cost composition of the domestic final demand of the Russian Federation were also identified. Conclusions are made about the need to supplement the structural characteristics of imports with the structure of foreign added value initiated by the domestic final demand of the Russian Federation, which allows for the most complete assessment of the import dependence of the domestic economy. A comparative analysis of structural shifts was also carried out with other countries.
