Abstract:
Abstract The problem of testing perfect rankings in moving extreme ranked set sampling is studied. The most powerful rank test as well as some other rank-based tests are introduced and they are compared in view of the power criterion. An estimation problem is also investigated under both perfect and imperfect rankings models. It is shown that even under imperfect rankings, the moving extreme ranked set sampling may be more efficient than the simple random sampling scheme.
