Abstract: Zusammenfassung Angesichts der Alleingänge der USA in der Handelspolitik ist es umso wichtiger, dass Deutschland seine Abhängigkeit von Exportüberschüssen reduziert. Mit Hilfe eines makroökonometrischen Modells lassen sich die quantitativen Effekte einer expansiven Fiskal- bzw. einer kombinierten Fiskal- und Lohnpolitik auf den Außenbeitrag bzw. den Leistungsbilanzüberschuss, auf Wachstum und Beschäftigung sowie auf den Staatshaushalt analysieren. Einen erfolgversprechenden Ansatz zur Reduzierung der Außenhandelsüberschüsse stellt die Kombination von fiskal- und lohnpolitischen Maßnahmen dar.
